We are seeking a skilled and experienced Technical Operations Manager to join our team in Chicago. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing technical operations or leading technical projects within a large, multinational pharmaceutical company. This role demands a deep understanding of IT processes, policies, and compliance, combined with hands-on experience in software development, API-based architectures, and cloud technologies like Amazon Web Services (AWS). The successful candidate will also have expertise in Agile methodologies, enabling them to drive operational efficiency and support our mission of delivering cutting-edge pharmaceutical solutions.
Responsabilidades

Operational Management: Oversee and manage the daily technical operations, ensuring all IT systems and processes are aligned with company standards, industry regulations, and best practices.

Technical Leadership: with a "roll-up their sleeve doer, versus overseeing" attitude, provide technical leadership of software development initiatives, API-based architectures, and AWS cloud environments, ensuring robust, scalable, and secure solutions.

Project Management: Lead and manage technical projects from initiation through completion, using Agile methodologies to ensure timely delivery, adaptability, and alignment with business objectives.

Process Optimization: Continuously identify and implement improvements to IT processes, policies, and workflows to enhance operational efficiency and system performance.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure technical operations are fully integrated and support broader business goals.

Compliance and Security: Ensure that all technical operations adhere to industry regulations, company policies, and security standards, particularly those relevant to the pharmaceutical sector.

Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of technical professionals, fostering a collaborative, innovative, and high-performance culture.

Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, reliable technical solutions and services.

Reporting: Develop and deliver comprehensive reports on technical operations, project progress, and compliance status to senior management.
¿Cómo lo harás?

Experience: minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years as a Technical Operations Manager or Technical Project Manager, with a strong focus on software development, API-based architectures, and AWS.

Location: Must be based in the Chicago area and able to work on-site 3 days a week.

Technical Expertise: Extensive knowledge of IT systems, processes, and policies in a multinational pharmaceutical environment. Proficiency in software development, API-based architectures, and AWS cloud solutions is essential.

Agile Methodologies: Proven experience in managing projects using Agile methodologies, with a demonstrated ability to adapt to changing requirements and deliver successful outcomes.

Leadership: Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide technical teams towards achieving strategic objectives.

Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with pharmaceutical industry-specific regulations.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in project management (e.g., PMP), Agile (e.g., ScrumMaster), or IT service management (e.g., ITIL) are highly desirable.

This position is in a fixed location based in the Chicago office. However, telecommuting from a home office may also be allowed. Please note that this job is not eligible to be performed in the states of New York, New Jersey, California, or Colorado.
