Congrats to Lola Market for becoming part of Glovo
September 22, 2022
Glovo announced the acquisition of Lola Market, a Spanish e-grocery company that allows users to purchase goods from major supermarkets online and have them delivered to their homes. As part of its commitment to growth in different business models related to last-mile logistics, Glovo saw this project, which was co-founded by SNGULAR, as an opportunity to continue expanding its horizons.
Congratulations are in order for both Lola Market and the SNGULAR team!
Growing together
Lola Market is a project created by Luis Pérez del Val (CEO), who recruited SNGULAR as the company’s original tech partner. In 2015, we took part in the technical feasibility study of Lola Market and worked on the development of the Minimum Viable Product. Once the model was validated, we built the company’s core technical platform and supported the launch of the business.
Lola Market’s technology team was formed entirely by people from SNGULAR. We designed the interaction model, created the mobile apps, the back office, integration with different supermarkets and the optimization of the sales process. We also contributed to the development of the last mile logistics tools, including routes and the assignment of shoppers and delivery drivers.
After kicking off the project, we helped Lola Market form its own technology team and took part in the process of integration with Comprea, another e-grocery startup that merged with Lola Market in 2018. Over the years, we have continued to advise the company. Recently, our collaboration has been focused around strategic support as a member of the Board of Directors.
We have stood by Lola Market from the very first day through to its acquisition by Glovo. All this time, we have been learning and growing together. Now, as founding partners of Lola Market, we have become partners of Glovo, one of the top home delivery companies in the world.
Thank you and congratulations to all the people that have participated in this adventure.
